The opportunity

Nvest Ltd is a medium sized training company specialising in product & sales training and field training within the consumer and B2B market place. A second pillar within their business delivers personal and business coaching at management level for business across all sectors.

The company is built round a core management team and small team of trainers. Due to the unpredictable nature of the business they have a bank of experienced contractors available to deploy on larger projects.

Communication is essential to enable the effective delivery and reporting of training - 1RedCube’s task was to streamline the entire communication model to allow maximum flexibility.

 

 

 

 

 

The solution

It was very clear that a fixed solution wouldn’t deliver the degree of flexibility to enable remote workers and contractors to remain in constant communication; a Hosted VoIP solution was the prefect fit to enable this.

Head office users were equipped with Cisco 7960 IP telephones with a polycom conference phone in the boardroom, whilst four Cisco 7960 handsets were also positioned on hot desks.

Six softphone licences were provided to be distributed to contractors on a project by project basis.

A bank of spare telephone numbers were provided to enable new customers to be allocated a dedicated hotline in the business or directly to the team or individual working on their project.

The benefits

The use of hunt groups for each client enabled each call to be answered appropriately, the name of the line called and the name/number of the caller being displayed to the recipient proved invaluable.

Softphones installed on the trainers’ laptops enabled the power of fixed line telecoms but cloud be moved from location to location immediately and without cost, an essential for a business heavily dependent on third party support.
