The opportunity

Our customer is a medium size IT and Data Systems company. They have nine mobile phone users who spend their time split between the office, their data centre's and customers’ sites. As with any business, communication is key to their success; as a business offering IT support, the ability to respond to and action their customers’ problems within tight timescales, requires someone always available in the office.

The Motivation for change was to reduce cost and upgrade their existing mobile phones; 1RedCube were engaged to review all their costs and recommend the appropriate solution: We did this via our health check and bill analysis software which enables us to easily addressed the immediate requirement, whilst offering a number of productivity enhancing elements to the overall solution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The solution

A business tariff that delivers the right amount of shared minutes and text messages to any UK landline and mobile numbers, whilst providing each user with unlimited calls to 10 UK landlines of their choice for the duration on the new agreement. These 10 landline numbers can be changed once a qtr as their calling patterns dictate.

One of the challenges was to enhance productivity and flexibility of working away from the office, so 1RedCube provided a mobile email and data solution for each user. A selection of Nokia handsets and data devices were selected, each with the right amount of data allowance required by the user, provide the following benefits

  • Real-time push email, calendar, tasks and contacts synchronisation direct to the device
  • The ability to remote access customers’ servers at speeds of up to 3.6Mbps
  • The ability to remote access customers’ servers at speeds of rate of 384 kbps
  • Data allowance enabling up to 7.2Mbps download and 2Mbps upload speeds
  • All existing numbers were ported to the new network with no disruption to business

The benefits

Despite offering more inclusive calls and text messages, with the inclusion of mobile data products and allowances, 1RedCube was still able to save the customer £186 per month on their existing plan.

The addition of high speed mobile data connections for the engineers enabled the average response and resolution time for support calls to reduce drastically; email on the move improved general communications.

The unlimited calls to nominated landlines has started to have a significant effect on reducing their office fixed line comms bill, this is currently around the £40 per month mark.
