The opportunity

Sign Wizzard is an established sign making business based in Aylesbury and servicing a 30 miles radius.

Sign Wizzard have gone through a recent growth spell, increasing their workforce by 60% and doubling the size of their unit, all this needs to be under pinned by efficient cost effective communication solutions that will enhance their working day whilst providing cost saving and a return on investment.

The nature of their business requires a lot of activity out in the field whether quoting for new or existing clients or installing new signage; as it is a fast moving business it is important that the team are kept in constant contact with the head office to ensure speed of response and accuracy of information when booking or quoting for new work.

1RedCube were engaged to review Sign Wizzards telecoms needs, both fixed landline and mobile, the main objective, efficient professional call handling within the head office, and real time information out in the field.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The solution

With flexibility, efficiency and cost control being the key drivers, a Hosted VoIP solution for the head office supported by the latest BlackBerry handhelds and BlackBerry Professional Server software provided the answer to Sign Wizzards needs.

The existing phone system was removed and replaced with the latest Cisco 7960 & 7941 handsets, broadband was provisioned to enable independent voice and data circuits, and the analogue fax line was upgraded with a fax to email service, providing a faster response to faxes and the ability for selected people to pick them up via an email distribution group. As one of the directors works from home a Cisco handset was installed in her home office, enabling total flexibility with a virtual extension to the head office.

The installation team and new client manager were provided with BlackBerry handhelds all running on the latest BlackBerry Professional Server software enabling total real time information and fulltime contact with the head office; the efficiencies and benefits were clear to be seen within the first day of usage.

As the company has been trading for over ten years it was important that existing numbers were kept and ported across to the Hosted platform seamlessly, to ensure nil disruption and that the directors remained chilled!

The benefits

Well from a land line perspective, improved efficiency resulting in increased productivity, the ability for the boss to have a virtual office at home seamlessly, or anywhere else for that matter. Caller IDs and hunt groups to be set up, providing a high level of service for the clients, and an overall cost saving.
